Blessing Okagbare finishes last in women's 100m final

Blessing Okagbare may have dashed Nigeria's hope for a gold medal as she finished 8th, but finishing in a time of 11.01, is still one of the fastest times in African Female 100 meters (Guess we can take our consolation in that) also Regina George and Omolara Omotosha has failed to make it to the 400 meters final.

Meanwhile Usain Bolt has won the 100m men's final, setting an Olympic record time of 9.63. Usain is actually the first sprinter to defend the 100m title on the track. Carl Lewis won in 1984 but got the 1988 gold after Ben Johnson was stripped of his title. He's officially a legend.

Also Serena Williams has won her first Olympic gold by smashing Sharapova with a devastating 6-0-6-1 victory.
