Lady Gaga "Unable to Walk," Postpones Four Shows Due to Chronic Joint Pain

Lady Gaga Instagram Photo

Lady Gaga is suffering from a painful joint injury that has left her unable to walk in recent days, forcing the postponement of several shows, the singer said.
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened," Tweeted Gaga. "I've been praying it would heal."
The injury is a synovitis, a severe inflammation of joints, she added.
The 26-year-old gave no details about how she suffered the injury.
Lady Gaga hid the ailment because "I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans ... however after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."
Her "Born This Way Ball Tour" was in Montreal, Canada, Monday.
"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry," she tweeted, adding that she basically has no choice.
Her next week of shows, set for Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ontario, have been postponed under doctor's orders. Hopefully after that she'll be back.
"To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. I'm devasted & sad," Gaga tweeted.
Get well soon, Lady G

Kate Middleton Baby Bump Photos Published, Royals Irate

As promised, Chi Magazine defiantly published long-lens photos of the pregnant Kate Middleton strolling on the beach in Mustique in a blue bikini.
Kate Middleton Baby BumpKate Middleton Chi Magazine Cover With the 31-year-old Duchess' ever-so-slight baby bump visible, the magazine's headline reads "La Pancia Cresce." Translation: "Your Belly Grows."
So does the controversy over Kate's right to privacy.
Chi Magazine, which supposedly paid $300,000-plus for the Kate Middleton bikini photos, appears utterly unconcerned by the ire of the British royal family.
Not shocking, considering that Chi, along France's Closer and other publications in Europe, ran even more scandalous topless photos of Kate last year.
Reports first started to filter out over the weekend that a photographer managed the impossible, somehow breaching Mustique's legendary security.
Photos of Kate and sister Pippa Middleton strolling on Mustique's palm-fringed shores in bikinis emerged, but the UK media declined to run them.
The Sunday People said it had "chosen not to view the pictures," let alone use them, and "like the rest of the British media, will not publish them."
One UK journalist says there's "zero possibility" the Kate Middleton pics will be printed in Britain in the aftermath of last year's controversy. Elsewhere, however?
As we've seen, all bets are off outside the United Kingdom.
A St. James's Palace spokesman said: "We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas."
This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."
The photographs, taken from a boat offshore, may not be illegal, but are a huge blow for Mustique, which has thrived on its reputation as a paparazzi-free enclave

How robbers raped woman in her husband's presence

Residents of Ogida quarters in Benin City were shocked last Saturday when they woke to see a house wife (names withheld) shouting and pleading for help.
They rushed to the house only to discover that the woman was raped by three young men who stormed the house at about 3am. They further discovered the victim’s husband who was tied by the robbers and pushed under the bed.
The suspects Peter Anigboro (25 years old), Lucky Williams (22) and Olise Friday, forced the door of the residence of the victim open with an impoverished gun and a dagger.
The suspects immediately went for the husband, whom they tied his legs and hands after which he was pushed under the bed.
After taking care of the husband, they went for the wife whom Saturday Vanguard learnt was their original target. It was gathered that the robbers have been monitoring her movement for some days before they struck last Saturday.
It was learnt that they requested her to declare the money she sold that day from her recharge card which she quickly obliged.
The robbers further requested for recharge cards, hand sets and other valuables. While they were threatening, the victim pleaded that they should not kill her. But to her greatest shock, they pounced on her and started undressing her warning that she will be killed if she tried to resist them.
The leader of the gang, Peter Anikoro was the first to rape her and while he was doing that, his mask pulled off and that was when the victim saw the face of her attacker.

Lightning strikes St. Peters Basilica hours after the Pope announced resignation

Lightning appeared to strike St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City on Monday just hours after Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation, according to the BBC. The lightning strike happened around 6 p.m. local time. Photo above.

AFP was the first to publish the startling photo of a lightning bolt coming out of the heavens and appearing to strike the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, one of Catholicism's holiest sites. AFP photographer Filippo Monteforte caught the amazing photograph during a storm.
"It was icy cold and the rain was falling in sheets," he told AFP. "When the storm started, I thought that lightning might strike the rod, so I decided it was worth seeing whether – if it DID strike – I could get the shot at exactly the right moment.”
He waited two hours before lightning struck twice and he captured a still image. “The first bolt was huge and lit up the sky, but unfortunately I missed it," he told AFP. "I had better luck the second time, and was able to snap a couple of images of the dome illuminated by the bolt.” (Huffington Post)

'I had cancer of the nose' - Governor Sullivan Chime

The Enugu state governor spoke to journalists in Enugu on Monday. Below is what he shared...
“Late August or early September, last year, I am not sure again of the dates, but it is about that time. I was privileged to be one of those nominated by the Nigeria Governors Forum to go to Germany to understudy their federal system. A Governor was picked from each of the six geo-political zones. I represented the South-East and of course, we were led by our Chairman, Rotimi Amaechi.
“On our way to Germany, I decided to go a little bit earlier, passing through London to do my medicals because of what I will call lack of our time. We do not have time here. So, I decided to take that opportunity, got to London and did my medicals and was certified fit. I was given a clean bill of health. But I had a little growth here (pointing at the right side of his neck) that was not visible to anybody. I am a very observant person. I noticed it, showed it to my doctor and he touched it and said he didn’t feel it is anything serious, that I should just try and forget it.
