Mindy McCready is Dead:Police, Family Release Statements on Singer's Suicide

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday afternoon. She was 37 years old.

Police were called to her Arkansas home and found her on the front porch.
Dateline NBC's Andrea Canning tweeted, "Just got a call from Mindy McCready's best friend that she shot and killed herself this evening. My heart breaks for her two boys. RIP."
Despite a popular country music career in the 1990s, lately McCready has made headlines ever since for one bizarre incident after another.
Most recently, she's been in the news after her record producer boyfriend David Wilson also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound last month.
McCready entered rehab after David Wilson's death, which she denies playing a role in, and has three previous suicide attempts of her own.
Wilson and Mindy McCready had a son Zayne together; he is less than a year old. McCready also has son Zander from a previous relationship with Billy McKnight.
A source has told TMZ that the singer shot her dog as well.
McCready's family has yet to release an official statement.

Details are still being pieced together, but Arkansas sheriffs' officials have released an official statement on the death of Mindy McCready. It reads:
"At 3:31 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, deputies from the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of gun shots fired.
"Officers arrived on the scene at 3:58 p.m. and discovered the body of 37-year-old Melinda Gayle McCready on the front porch of the residence."

Nollywood Producer Collins Ifeanyi Chukwu Dead

Popular Abuja based director and producer, Collins Ifeanyi Chukwu is dead. He died yesterday at the Maitama General Hospital after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Blessing Collins, and little son, Doxa Efechukwu Collins.

The news, which was confirmed yesterday by the chairman of the guild in Abuja, Agility Onwurah, has thrown the Abuja chapter of AGN into mourning. The usually boisterous Access Garden, which is the official location of the guild’s activities, was full of tears and wailings yesterday.

A call placed to his wife yesterday was answered by her mother who said Blessing Collins was not in the right frame of mind to speak. The mother-in-law however confirmed the sad news.

Doxa Efechukwu Collins, his sole heir, was born on May 12, 2012, and was dedicated on Sunday July 22 at the Christ Chosen Church of God, Gwarimpa, Abuja, after which his parents treated entertainment practitioners to a lavish ceremony at their Jikwoyi residence.

“It is quite unfortunate that the young lady has been widowed at this early age with such a little boy. This is a big loss, not only to the family, but to the entertainment industry in Abuja,” Frank White, chairman of the Producers Guild of Nigeria, Abuja Chapter lamented.

The late Collins had a knack for producing gospel movies and has to his credit The Burning Flames, el-Gibor, Back to Bethel, and was before his death, working on another blockbuster.

He is one of the very successful Abuja based entertainers who have been able to prove that you don’t have to be in Lagos to make it in the industry.

"Goldie: we didn’t take you seriously. We apologize.

It was a hot, Sunday afternoon when the BBM request beeped on my phone. I was totally engaged with the English Premiership football match showing on my TV. Not in the mood for any chit-chat. Checking out the identity of the sender showed me a ‘Goldie Harvey’ and my first impulse was I was face-to-face with another impersonator trying to take the place of one of Nigeria’s many hardworking entertainment celebrities. My curiosity got the better of me and I confirmed the request consciously granting the ‘impostor’ some measure of access into my life.I figured he\she will delete the connection in due course like others usually do. As at then, Goldie and I had never actually met in the true sense of the word. We weren’t friends. Neither were we enemies. We had bumped into one another a couple of times at events and that was it. Nevertheless, I was still surprised as to how the ‘impostor’ got my PIN.

Still on Reeva Steenkamp's Murder

A bloody cricket bat is now the center of the investigation into the death of Oscar Pistorius' model girlfriend, according to a newspaper in South Africa.

Police are unsure if Reeva Steenkamp used the bat in self-defense or if the Olympic sprinter used it, either by hitting her or breaking down a door.
Steenkamp reportedly hid in the bathroom of his home and was shot four times through the door; a report says her skull may have been crushed as well.
The City Press, a paper in their native South Africa, quotes a source as saying, "There was lots of blood on the bat. Forensic tests will show whose blood it was."
Pistorius was charged with murder. He is due back in court next week.
On top of the cricket bat, another report indicates that the athlete called his good friend, Justin Divaris, in tears after he realized he had shot Reeva Steenkamp to death.
“Reeva had been shot,” Oscar said on the phone, allegedly.
“I said to him, ‘What are you talking about? I don’t understand you,’” Justin told the paper. “He then repeated himself — ‘There has been a terrible accident, I shot Reeva.’”
Justin raced over to Oscar’s home, only to find it blocked off.
“It was very traumatic,” he said. “By the time we got there it was already a crime scene and we weren’t allowed in the house. But we could see Reeva through the door lying there.”
“[Oscar] was totally incoherent and just kept saying, ‘My baba, I’ve killed my baba. God take me away,’” Justin continued. “It is so sad. I introduced Reeva to Oscar."
"She was a really, really good friend of mine too and actually had been a friend longer … I don’t understand exactly what happened but the truth will come out.”

Reeva Steenkamp Hid From Oscar Pistorius, Was Shot Through Bathroom Door, Report Claims

I dont know if you have heard about this murder so i will start from the beginning,

South African Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius, around 4am on valentine's day shot dead his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, at his home in Pretoria. Friends of Oscar think its a Valentine's Day surprise gone wrong. Oscar, 26 and Reeva, 30, have been dating for many months. Reeve was shot several times in the head, chest and arm.
Oscar, known as the “Blade Runner” for his racing prosthetics and also dubbed 'the fastest man on no-legs', has been charged with murder and is currently in police custody. He is believed to have told police he thought she was an intruder.
Police said they found a 9mm pistol at the scene and he has since been charged to court.
Pistorius, who races wearing carbon fibre prosthetic blades after he was born without a fibula in both legs, was the first double amputee to run in the Olympics and reached the 400 semi-finals in London 2012.

New report alleges that Reeva Steenkamp,  spent her final minutes hiding behind a bathroom door before he shot her to death.

The South African double-amputee Olympic sprinter pumped four bullets through the door and into the helpless blond beauty, a neighbor has claimed.

Details of their Valentine’s Day fight, after which Oscar Pistorius was charged with murder, began to emerge as police piece together what happened.Or what they believe happened. Pistorius' family, while offering prayers for Reeva Steenkamp, say they "strongly dispute" the alleged murder charge.

Kim Kardashian Sells Mansion; Includes Furniture, All Memories of Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian will need to wait until her divorce trial in May to rid herself of Kris Humphries.

But the reality star moved quickly and quietly this week to separate herself from the mansion she once shared with the NBA power forward.

 

Not only did Kim sell the 4,000-square foot mansion in Beverly Hills for $5 million TMZ confirms, she allowed the buyer to keep pretty much all its contents.

From couches to coffee tables to custom-made furniture, it's all staying with the home.

Kardashian, of course, can afford plenty of new items and will have plenty of room for them in her new digs: she and Kanye West are moving into a 11,000-square foot home some time this year.

Rihanna: Injured in Bottle Attack!

She wasn't badly injured but Rihanna suffered a gash on her knee while partying in London the other night, and a bottle-throwing goon may be to blame.

Rihanna, who was in town for London Fashion Week, was hurt when someone threw a bottle in the star's direction and screamed things at her about Chris Brown.

She was departing a club called The Box when someone threw a bottle of Lucozade (a UK energy drink) in her direction. The bottle itself didn't connect, fortunately.

Rihanna scraped her knee during the commotion, however, when she looked to hasten her getaway from the scene and brushed up against a metal grate.

Her boyfriend(s) know a thing or two about flying bottles.

Speaking of, it was an interesting week for Rihanna and Chris Brown, to say the least. After their Grammy Awards love-fest, they appeared to be back on and stronger than ever.

Or … not so fast. The music stars shunned one another just three nights later at Hollywood hot spot Playhouse… after which Chris was threatened by a gang member.
