Colorado Shooting Updates: Victims Identified, President Obama Visits Aurora

The names and ages of the 12 movie goers who tragically died in Friday's horrific shooting in Aurora, Colorado have been identified. They are:

According to the Coroner's statement, "the cause of death in all cases is related to gunshot wounds" and all families of those listed have been notified.

Meanwhile, with James Holmes in custody and new information continuing to leak out regarding this suspect, President Obama touched down yesterday in Aurora.

He visited the University of Colorado Hospital, visited with the families of the victims and met with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.

"Out of this darkness a brighter day is going to come," Obama said. "Although the perpetrator of this evil act has received a lot of attention over the last couple of days that attention will fade away. And in the end, after he has felt the full force of our justice system, what will be remembered are the good people who were impacted by this tragedy."

Honestly speaking, I don’t know Goldie, but from the little I’ve heard, she’s really a nice person but that game was too tough for her. Prezzo just distracted her, he pretended to her. I have my own faults too. I remember when I fell for Zeus. Now we’re just friends so it’s cool. But Goldie did well at the end of the day. I’m not going to sit down and judge Goldie because it’s only you that is in the house that will know how it feels like to play the game. Goldie is very soft and emotional and that’s why little things got to her.

Contrary to many report that the the 2012 Porsche Cayenne that was presented to Naeto c on his wedding day was bought by D'Banj, it has been confirmed that the car was bought by Dumebi Kachikwu, Naeto C's former in-law. Dumebi was married to Naeto's sister, Somachi Chikwe, for about ten years and they have four children. The couple officially separated last year and Dumebi remarried a few weeks later.  Dumebi is said to be a stinking millionaire who is in oil and gas and he was the one who bought the car and asked D'banj (his good friend) to present it.

FG to pay pregnant women N5000 for antenatal

The Federal Government has concluded plans to pay women who attend antenatal clinics the sum of N5,000 as part of efforts to tackle the menace of maternal mortality.

The plan would be executed as part of the Midwifery Service Scheme (MSS) introduced in 2010.
The Director, Primary Health Care System Development with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Mohammed, disclosed the conclusion of payment plan in Abuja on Sunday.
According to him,  government budgeted N15 billion for Maternal and Child Health Care from the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).
He added that part of the money would also be used to employ additional 2,000 midwives for the MSS.
Mohammed said the payment plan was designed to assist women to address the demand side constraints of maternal health.

Explosion in Bauchi kills one, injures 10

The Police in Bauchi on today said it had launched investigation into Sunday night’s explosion in the state capital.

A six-year-old boy was killed and 10 other people injured when a bomb hidden inside a wheelbarrow exploded near a beer garden. Eye witnesses said the explosion hit a bar where people gathered to drink.
The Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Ladan said the blast killed the boy, who was near the bar, but some eye witnesses said four people were feared dead.
Adamu Abubakar, a Red Cross official, said security forces had surrounded the area.
Bauchi has been previously struck by sectarian violence sweeping across the north with Islamist sect Boko Haram claiming responsibility for most of the attacks.
However, the sect did not immediately claim responsibility for yesterday’s attack.

Former Super Eagles Defender loses N800M duplex to fire in Ibadan

An early Sunday morning fire has razed to the ground the duplex of ex-Barcelona and Eagles star Gbenga Okunowo in Ibadan.
According to Okunowo,  his house was completely razed to the ground by a fire which came from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) premises next door to his house on Ring Road in Ibadan.
‘My whole house is gone. Even the clothes, boxers and slippers I’m wearing now were given to me by friends,’ he lamented.
His passport, his European residence papers, medals, trophies and other properties were all lost in the fire which started around 2.30am on sunday (July 22) from the PHCN compound next to his house.

Kyle Glover, 11-Year Old Stepson of Usher, Dies of Brain Injuries

Kyle Glover, Tameka's 11-year old son from a previous relationship, has been taken off life support on saturday (July 21)  and has passed away two weeks after suffering irreversible brain damage in a jet skiing accident.



The fatal injury occurred on Lake Lanier in Atlanta on July 8, as Kyle was riding on an inner tube when he was struck by a passer-by in a jet ski. That individual is named Jeffrey S. Hubbard and is under investigation for his actions.
Doctors quickly determined that Kyle was medically brain dead and he had been on life support in the hospital until saturday.
The tragedy took place while Usher and Foster were engaged in a contentious custody fight for the two kids they share. But that court battle has now taken a backseat to the sad circumstances surrounding Glover.
