Happy 25th Birthday, Rihanna! (In Arrears)

Robyn Rihanna Fenty, best known to fans by simply her middle and stage name, was born in Saint Michael, Barbados and yesterday was her 25th Birthday!

She began her career as a result of meeting producer Evan Rogers in late 2003.

Yes ... that was 10 years ago now. She's sure come a long way since age 15.

With 25 million-plus albums sold and nine #1 hits, the Caribbean queen is, in no uncertain terms, one of the most successful female recording artists ever.

Rihanna-Princess Diana Photo Covers UK Sunday Times

Rihanna's been called many things, good and bad, over the years ... but the second coming of Princess Diana has never been one of them. Until now.

The 25-year-old singer's face is digitally stitched to match the visage of the late Princess of Wales on the latest cover of the UK's Sunday Times Magazine.

  The cover story:
"Rihanna is in love with the camera, and the camera is in love with her."
"Not since Diana rocketed from a shy kindergarten aide to a lean, mean fashion machine has there been such a ravishingly seductive flirtation with the world press."
"Like Diana, she has drifted into using photo ops to send messages of allure, defiance or revenge in a turbulent relationship with an errant partner."
For her part, Rihanna, seems rather flattered by the comparison.
"Just so happens I came home drunk to this in a pile of papers outside my hotel room!" she wrote late Sunday evening, after debuting her fashion line in London.
"My lil Bajan behind, never thought these many people would even know my name, now it's next to Princess Diana's on the front of a newspaper!"

Report following the autopsy carried out after her sudden death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos revealed that the Kennis Music star, suffered a terminal ‘hypertensive heart disease’ which resulted to’ intracerebellar haemorrhage.’ The autopsy carried out February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine. The burial arrangement for the former Big Brother Africa house mate will be announced by the family.

Goldie died on Valentine’s Day shortly after she returned from Los Angeles, United States where she attended the 55th Grammy Awards
